Building and Zoning
Building Permits are administered by the City's building inspector, Jason Van Ausdall of Veenstra & Kimm, inc. Applications may be printed and submitted at Panora City Hall, directly to the building inspector or on-line. The City of Panora has adopted the 2021 International Building Codes and the building inspector will be responsible for all inspections except electrical. The state of Iowa Electrical inspectors will conduct all electrical inspections within the City. Residential and commercial permit fees are calculated by the inspector and builders are notified upon issuance of the permit. All projects must be in compliance with all sections of the Zoning Ordinance and it is the responsibility of the applicant to research the appropriate requirements applicable to the project. All projects will require the following items:
